What is it? It’s GROUNDHOG day.

It’s not just been a challenging start to the year but a challenging few years – my endeavours to get the new website launched. So I ask you to watch this space.

Groundhog day is a popular tradition in the States. You may have seen the film Groundhog Day (1993) which is all about a weather man doomed to repeat the same day over and over again.

Apparently the story is that Punxsutawney Phil comes out of his lair or den after a long winter sleep to look for his shadow. If he sees his shadow he takes it as an omen of more bad weather and returns to his lair. If the day is cloudy and therefore no shadow he takes it as a sign of spring and stays above ground. All sounds quite odd to me as I would have thought that seeing his shadow would mean better weather.

Don’t worry my actual  point of this blog is not about The Groundhog but that you can use it as an opportunity for a second (or more) chance. Look at the sky and just imagine the sun bursting through the clouds.

Perhaps 2018 has not got off to as good a start as you had hoped and you may even have given up on your New Year’s resolutions.  So just take some minutes to affirm that 2018 is the best year ever.

You can achieve this by acting now. Progress starts with a single decision, a single action.

As the Chinese proverb says ‘A journey of a thousand miles begins with one small step’.

Go for it and accomplish all you’ve dreamed of.
